Spring is in the air and it's time to get planting

Summer is just around the corner and the entertainment season is upon us.
To help create a relaxing outdoor entertaining area, read our latest November 2016 News Letter “The Gardener’s Friend”.

As the warm summer weather approaches some great Gardening Tips are :
* Water … use it wisely 1 or two good soakings per week and plant water wise plants such as natives and succulents
* Mulch … to shield the soil from the summer sun conserving moisture and keeping the root zone cool
* Plant hardy seasonal color … such as Petunias , Angelonia , Zinnia , Salvia , Day Lillie’s , Echinacea , Cosmos
* Pruning … General rule is prune anything lightly after flowering , natives can take a little harder pruning
* Lawns … raise your mowing height to encourage a denser lusher sward of grass which will compete with summer weeds
* Garden Care Products  … keep an eye out for chewing and sucking pests as well as mildew and fungal problems (Blackspot Roses)

For a beautiful and low maintenance garden, keep well watered, mulch, fertilise regularly and prune when appropriate.
